It is our great pleasure to announce that the dates for the 2010 Macy’s Cincinnati Music Festival have been confirmed as Friday July 30th and Saturday July 31st at Cincinnati, Ohio's Paul Brown Stadium. We would also like to announce that Macy’s will again be the Festival’s sponsor, continuing a tradition of support for unique, world-class entertainment events like the Festival.

The promoters are contracting Artists who will be performing at the 2010 Festival – who’s hot, who’s touring, and of course, who you want to see. The Artists lineup for this year's festival is taking shape. As the artists sign on we will keep you updated. Independent instrumental artists, Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9) will perform. Their performance date is yet to be determined. The legendary Moody Blues will headline June 30, featuring songs like “Go Now” and “In Your Wildest Dreams”. As part of the “British Invasion”, their career spans more than 45 years. Chicago-based rock trio and family band, Chevelle will perform on June 30. The Brooklyn quintet hailed as the quintessential bar band of the early 21st century, The Hold Steady will perform on July 1. Alt-metal band from Kansas City, Puddle of Mudd will headline June 30, performing hits like “She Hates Me”, “Control” and “Life on Display”.

Sting, accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, will embark on a world tour this summer. The tour will find Sting performing his most celebrated songs re-imagined for symphonic arrangement. The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will be conducted by Maestro Steven Mercurio (Pavarotti, Bocelli).

Following a fantastic international career spanning 25 years, in excess of 35 million album sales and 15 top 10 singles in the UK alone, A-Ha's Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy announce that they will perform their final shows together in 2010, the anniversary year of the release of debut album "Hunting High & Low". Riding high on the success of their critically acclaimed current album 'Foot Of The Mountain', A-Ha have decided to call it a day and as a consequence will not release any future albums.

Organizers announced country music stars such as Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Brooks and Dunn, Keith Urban, Kellie Pickler, Jason Aldean, Jake Owen, David Nail, Gloriana and Justin Moore are all headed to Baton Rouge for the Bayou Country Superfest.

The old cajun "Ayeee" is about to be replaced with a country "Yee-haw." For two years, Baton Rouge officials worked to bring the Bayou Country Superfest to the Capital City. Next Memorial Day weekend, the city will host some of the biggest stars it has ever attracted.

Several people are predicting the Bayou Country Superfest will make Baton Rouge a major travel destination. It will feature 10 stars in two nights. Hang on Baton Rouge. In the words of Alan Jackson, "we're goin' country."

Paul Arrigo with the Baton Rouge Area Convention and Visitors Bureau says his office is always asked why big acts don't come to Baton Rouge, but they won't be able to find a show much bigger than this one.

Quint Davis, the festival producer, announced the stars that will appear. Baton Rouge's country music fest will be one of the last times fans will see Brooks and Dunn perform LIVE together. Concerts with Kenny Chesney reportedly sell out in a matter of minutes. Producers say singing in Tiger Stadium will be the first time Taylor Swift has taken on such a large a venue. She headlines opening night, along with Keith Urban.

"This will be an event that will be a game changer for Baton Rouge," Davis said. "That will become a major tourism, leisure, travel destination on Memorial Day weekend."

Fronted by American Idol rocker Chris Daughtry, the American rock band Daughtry is a great compilation of talent and stage presence, built up from Daughtry’s days as a rock ‘n roller on Idol. Daughtry ultimately got the boot from the television show, but his days as a hard rocker are nowhere near over, as his band’s Top Ten debut DAUGHTRY proved.
